blurred vision; seeing blue and pink flashes in both eyes; seeing blue and pink flashes in both eyes; lightheaded; tingling feeling from knees to feet; got disoriented; joints aching, knees and arms; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer (patient). A 75-year-old female patient received bnt162b2 (BNT162B2), dose 1 via an unspecified route of administration, administered in arm right on 06Apr2021 08:20 am (Batch/Lot Number: ENB200) as single dose at the age of 75-year-old for COVID-19 immunisation. The patient medical history and concomitant medications were none. No history of all previous immunization with BNT162B2. No additional vaccines administered on same date of BNT162B2. No prior vaccinations (within 4 weeks). On 06Apr2021, 10 minutes after she received the vaccine, she patient experienced blurred vision, seeing blue and pink flashes in both eyes, she was lightheaded, tingling feeling from knees to feet, got disoriented, joints aching, knees and arms. The events required a visit to Emergency Room. The events were considered medically significant. The outcome of joints aching, knees and arms was recovered on 27Apr2021, of all other events was recovered on 06Apr2021. The course of events was as follows: 10 minutes after she received the vaccine, she experienced blurred vision, seeing a blue and pink flashing in both eyes, she was lightheaded, from her knees down to her feet had a tingling feeling, and she got disoriented. She told her family member something was wrong with her and they got the EMS. The EMS checked her vital signs and suggested to take her to the main campus Emergency Room center. After the knees and arms stopped tingling, different side effects came up on her as she was sitting and waiting for 15 minutes. Patient did not know how long her eyes flashed exactly, but it stopped the same day. Patient had had some differences with her legs, like her joints aching. It lasted from 06Apr2021 to 27Apr2021 until she had to go back for the next vaccine. The joint pain/achiness in legs and arm lasted for 3 weeks on and off. Patient was not hospitalized. No relevant tests performed. Patient has an appointment scheduled with her physician on following Monday. She was scheduled to go back 27Apr2021 for second dose. No follow-up attempts are needed. No further information is expected.
