Caller states its hurting now like his whole head is swollen; He states he has COPD and seemed like it made it worst; he gets hot flashes; he was exposed at work to the coronavirus; he is not eating; he feel like his voice is going; throat feels like he swallowed a hot pepper, like there is fire inside of it.; cough is always there due to smoking but it has gotten worse; can't hardly smoke a cigarette right now; headache; cough; diarrhea; sore throat; shortness of breath; he felt fine until he took it and he has not felt good since; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer (patient). A 58-year-old male patient received first dose BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE; Solution for injection; Lot Number END162; Expiration date was not reported), via an unspecified route of administration, administered in arm left on 09Jun2021 (at the age of 58-years-old) as 1st dose, single dose for COVID-19 immunisation. Medical history included chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (He states he has COPD and seemed like it made it worst, patient stated he had COPD and seemed like it made it worst), tobacco user (he smokes and can't hardly smoke a cigarette right now). The patient concomitant medications were not reported. Prior vaccinations (within 4 weeks) to the first administration date of the suspect vaccine included flu shot or pneumonia shot. Patient stated it was one of those shots that is supposed to last for 7 years (NO LOT, NDC or EXP date unknown) and did not know what he did with the paper and stated he got it about 2-3 weeks ago. No adverse events noted following the prior vaccinations. No family medical history relevant to the events. No additional vaccines administered on same date of the Pfizer Suspect. On 09Jun2021, the patient experienced sore throat, shortness of breath. On an 10Jun2021, the patient experienced diarrhea. On 11Jun2021, the patient experienced cough. On 12Jun2021, the patient experienced headache. Caller states its hurting now like his whole head is swollen on an unspecified date, he states he has COPD and seemed like it made it worst on an unspecified date, he gets hot flashes on an unspecified date, he was exposed at work to the coronavirus on an unspecified date, he is not eating on an unspecified date, he feel like his voice is going on an unspecified date, throat feels like he swallowed a hot pepper, like there is fire inside of it on an unspecified date, cough is always there due to smoking but it has gotten worse on an unspecified date, can't hardly smoke a cigarette right now on an unspecified date, he felt fine until he took it and he has not felt good since on 09Jun2021. Caller reported the outcome of the events. Patient stated the reason for taking Pfizer covid vaccine as it was offered at work and said insurance would be cheaper so took it and plus to be safe. Patient was told to call and report his symptoms and wanted to know if his symptoms been reported before. Patient stated he does not have a doctor. Caller stated he was on this way to work when the diarrhea hit, then it was ok for two days and then the diarrhea hit again on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He stated this morning he was having diarrhea as well. It seems to be getting better today, although he was not eating. He stated the diarrhea mainly hit him when he coughed and then he has a mess to clean up, especially with a deep cough. With headache, caller stated its hurting now like his whole head is swollen and outcome stayed the same. Caller stated his sore throat was way worse in some ways and way not in others, feel like his voice was going. He states he had COPD and seemed like it made it worst. He also mentioned, he smokes and can't hardly smoke a cigarette right now and maybe that is a good thing he guesses it was keeping him from smoking because it makes him cough. Caller stated his throat feels like he swallowed a hot pepper, like there is fire inside of it. Caller stated his shortness of breath stayed about the same, his cough is always there due to smoking, but it has gotten worse. He stated that on Friday even he took one puff of his cigarette and coughed his head off. He thought that might be why he had a headache. It hurts when he coughs. He states it has him worried and he just wants to be truthful and honest about all these symptoms. He was just curious of what was going on. He was tested for coronavirus, said tested negative, but wants to know what was going on. About Cough, caller stated it has gotten no different, staying about the same. Caller stated was not understanding why he is having all these side effects and stuff. Caller gave the number from the vaccine card as END162 and stated he can hardly read the writing. Caller stated if he would have known this, he wouldn't have taken it and he felt fine until he took it and he has not felt good since. Caller stated he has not had taken any other vaccines that he can remember, unless he did as a kid. He stated he was pretty healthy. The last 6-7 days though he hasn't felt like himself because he has been going to bathroom, headaches, coughing, and sometimes he gets hot flashes, and having the sore throat for over a week now or right around week, 09Jun2021 to now, over the last 6 days and with the headache the last 3-4 days. Commented he feels like a whiny butt. Patient did not require to visit physician office due to the events. The patient underwent lab tests and procedures which included sars-cov-2 test: negative on an unspecified date. Other relevant tests or investigations assessment included none. The clinical outcome of the sore throat, headache, shortness of breath, diarrhea, cough, headache, caller states its hurting now like his whole head is swollen were not recovered and for the other events unknown.
