Symptomtext
AGE 67 at time of adverse event: After 2nd vaccination, nickel size lump in left armpit/lymph gland. Sick for 2 days. Fatigue. Experienced shortness of breath in May 2021, syncope while golfing, very short of breath, rapid heartbeat. During summer of 2021, regularly experienced shortness of breath (altitude of 3600), dizziness and fatigue. Limited activity. Bought smart watch end of August, left to go back home and could monitor my oxygen level and heart rate. Noted low oxygen levels sometimes (85%-90%). Heart rate elevated. Golfed at home and again had severe shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat (169) and had to quit golf. Didn't feel well rest of day. Stayed home in bed and two days later found out I could get an ECG read on my smart watch. I went to demonstrate the ECG for the first time to my husband and it showed I was in Atrial Fibrillation. I called my Cardiologist (who I had not seen since last visit over 3 years ago ? I have a history of mitral prolapse) and booked an appointment for Sept. 24th, 2021. At that appointment, Dr ordered a halter monitor for 30 days, an echocardiogram and had an EKG at office. EKG was normal. During the 30 day monitoring, I noted rapid heartbeat and shortness of breath at times. I also noted some low oxygen levels. Later Dr will note that he reviewed my phone and stated that on October 4th in the late morning hours, I was symptomatic with shortness of breath, dizziness and chest pain and there was evidence for an atrial arrhythmia. The tachycardia appears to have persisted for 40 minutes. Received Booster shot on Oct 6th and had a reaction of a quartersize swelling in left armpit/lymph gland (same arm as injection), fever, fatigue for 2 days. On Nov. 9th, Dr discussed my results and put me on Cardizem to slow my heart rate down. To this date, I am experiencing low oxygen and shortness of breath when walking up a hill or exerting myself. My heartbeat only goes as high as 128 with shortness of breath and I then stop my activity.
