Symptomtext

Fainted going to check out, didn't wait after vaccination; This is a spontaneous report received from contactable reporter(s) (Other HCP) from a sales representative. A 16-year-old male patient received meningococcal group b Rlp2086 (TRUMENBA), as dose number unknown, single (Lot number: FN5547, Expiration Date: 31Jul2025) at the age of 16 years for immunisation. The patient had no relevant medical history. Concomitant medication(s) included: MENQUADFI taken for immunisation. The following information was reported: SYNCOPE (medically significant), outcome "unknown", described as "Fainted going to check out, didn't wait after vaccination". The patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: Body height: 204, notes: unit unknown.; Sender's Comments: There is a reasonable possibility that the event syncope was related to TRUMENBA based on known drug safety profile. The impact of this report on the benefit/risk profile of the Pfizer product is evaluated as part of Pfizer procedures for safety evaluation, including the review and analysis of aggregate data for adverse events. Any safety concern identified as part of this review, as well as any appropriate action in response, will be promptly notified to regulatory authorities, Ethics Committees, and Investigators, as appropriate.

Patient mother reports shortness of breath and pain in all extremities 20 mins after receiving vaccine, Mom gave patient 4 puffs of albuterol and Benedryl 10mL (25mg). Patient and mother returned to office at 11:05 am. Vitals assessed: BP 128/76, HR 100, Oxygen 100%, Glucose 83. Patient given Acetaminophen 20 mL (640mg) in clinic and vitals monitored.

STARTING AT 5 PM ON THE DAY OF THE VACCINATION, PT WAS DRIVING HOME. SHE STARTED TO FEEL HER THOAT WAS CLOSING, SHE COULD SWALLOW, FACE WAS GETTING PUFFY, EYE WERE FEELING SWOLLEN BUT COULD SEE. SHE NOTICED HER RIGHT ARM WAS FEELING HOT. LOOKING AT IT, THE RIGHT ARM AT THE INJECTION SITE WAS SWOLLEN AS LARGE AS A GRAPEFRUIT, RAISED AND BRIGHT RED. SHE ARRIVED HOME AT 630PM AND TOOK 25MG OF BENEDRYL PO. A T 7PM SHE WENT TO THE LOCAL ER. SHE WAS TRIAGED , VS WERE NORMAL.THE TRIAGE NURSE SAID TO SIT AND IF HER S/S WORSEN TO TELL SOMEONE RIGHT AWAY. 9PM SHE FELT BETTER AND DISCHARGED HERSELF WITH THE NOWLEDGE OF THE ER STAFF. SUNDAY THE 5TH OF MARCH, HER ARM WAS BACK TO NORMAL.

Father called today reporting that his daughter had vaccines on 9/15/22 and began having a headache, body aches, and fatigue on 9/17/22, then went to school yesterday and vomited. He said he took her to doctor and they said her symptoms were related to vaccines more than likely. He said that today she has developed a rash all over but other symptoms have resolved.

Symptomtext

Patient reported she developed left arm redness, swelling and tenderness at deltoid injection site approximately 1-2 hrs after her vaccination (8/17/22). Patient reported redness growing, tactile temp and area of discoloration so went to Urgent Care 2 days later (8/19/22). Diagnosed with cellulitis vs. adverse reaction. She was prescribed Benadryl and betamethasone cream 0.05%. She was also given a prescription for Doxycycline to take if the redness/swelling did not improve. Pt reported that the symptoms improved and did not need to take oral antibiotic after 24 hours on Benadryl/cream.

Patient was given the wrong product. She started the Meningococcal B series on 10/10/2022 at a different facility with Bexsero. The patient was given a dose of Men B Trumenba at this visit 10/26/2023. The products are not interchangeable. The patient was scheduled back for another dose of Trumenba in 6 months. There were no adverse reactions to this vaccine.

Symptomtext

Patient was scheduled to receive 3 vaccines, one of which was the Meningitis conjugate (Menquadfi) vaccine, but Meningitis B (Trumenba) vaccine was given in error. Meningitis conjugate was then given once error was identified. Patient tolerated all vaccines well and there were no side effects observed within 15 minutes of receiving all 4 vaccines.
