Symptomtext
Steady runny nose; allergies all of a sudden; It was both arms. She states they have been hurting since she got them; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer (patient). A 72-years-old female patient received first dose of BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE, formulation: Solution for injection, lot number: FN6204, patient was 72-year-old at the time of vaccination), via an unspecified route of administration, administered in Arm Right on 12Mar2021 as DOSE 1, SINGLE for covid-19 immunisation. Medical history included ongoing bipolar diagnosed 5 years ago when her husband died. He died in the house right in front of her, she doesn't want to say she lost it, she didn't cry. She has not cried yet; she was a mess. She almost killed herself falling asleep at the wheel just like now. She guesses it had to be stress related. When she gets stressed out and her daughters, their cortisone level skyrockets she doesn't know why they inherited that and from who she doesn't know, her mother wasn't that way, It was reported that she had symptoms that she thinks or have been told by others that may be related to her shots, even though its been 4 months. She states she was reacting to something, her whole system, body was, so her doctor thought it was because she was taking Lithium for bipolar so he took her off that and then things got worse, and the last 2 weeks, everything got worse, aches and pains, dry mouth. She states she had a cold sore right in the middle of her tongue. She has bought every biotin product they had; she would like to get rid of it. She's lost 40 pounds in 4 months and she's not on a diet. Her lips and tongue are swelled up to where she can't taste any food. She thought she was allergic to something for sure because her lips popped out and her tongue screwed up. She doesn't know what's on her tongue, she doesn't know if its an ulcer, when she's allergic to a medicine she has a weird reaction, except for the swollen feet, she doesn't remember that. She's also had a steady runny nose ever since; she doesn't take allergy pills so she thought that seems funny that she has allergies all of a sudden, ongoing Colon issues, IBD She's got something going on besides this with her colon, she's thinking its something like IBD. She states her arm, upper arms where the shot was given, she told her daughter this morning, her shoulder, upper arm, was on fire, beet red, very sore to the touch, confirms it was both arms. She states they have been hurting since she got them but like she says maybe she should put an ice pack on them like today, they are burning up and the rest of her arm was not. She states she had a runny nose until this morning, she hasn't had to blow her nose at all since 2 AM. She confirms it's improved, she went back to taking allergy pills, she doesn't like taking a lot of drugs. She reports usually she takes her allergy pill when she goes to bed around 7, they live in the mountains so to speak. She states the night before she didn't want to double up on the allergy pill she takes, but then her feet and legs and arms flared up, got swollen, she's allergic to a medicine/ this happened 5 years ago when her husband died, exact same symptoms. Concomitant medication(s) included lithium (LITHIUM) taken for bipolar, when she started having trouble sleeping, that was when Dr. withheld took her off the Lithium, that was making her dizzy. She's taken it for 5 years, no problem, she was sleeping good, so she stopped taking it, she didn't like that drug. So he left her with nothing for her bipolar and now she's blown up so badly with that so she think her daughter's ready to go out. She reports on the 4th day of not taking lithium, the symptoms began. She sleeps an average of 2 hours of sleep per night since then, and now its 13Aug2021. She still has a dry mouth right now, she can barely talk, and her tongue was getting caught up because of the sores. She states it was better until she started talking to the call handler, but it might just be her nerves, might be her nerves. She thinks she's allergic to something all of a sudden and it wasn't the Lithium. Lithium: Physician said to quit taking the Lithium and she didn't throw it away she kept it in the cupboard just in case but he did not give her anything for her bipolar disorder so she has no level of lithium in her she's sure. They used to check it every 2 months, she would have a blood test for her lithium level, to make sure it did not go below the recommended level. 1 tablet twice a day, one in morning and one at night. 300mg. She states she started it up again, she called the psychiatrist that helps her with her mental issues, and she recommended her starting it back.
