Symptomtext

I got the shot and immediately started feeling shooting pain down my arm. It was given at high angle and higher on the arm than I have ever gotten a vaccine. I have had severe shoulder pain shooting down. my arm and into my wrist since then, lost 80% mobility without pain, and have trouble sleeping. I went to the ER where an ultrasound showed nothing. I went to my PCP four hours later, then my occupational health clinic an hour later. I took a ton of steroids which helped slightly, but the pain has returned.

11/03/2020: Patient to urgent care, patient states pain started later that day of injection, pain continues. C-Reactive, CBC, and melovicam given. 12/21/2020: Presents to urgent care with muscle weakness, arthalgia/joint pain. Suggested physical therapy and a referral to orthopedics done.

received an expired dose; This case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of expired vaccine used in a 63-year-old female patient who received Flu Seasonal QIV Dresden (Fluarix Quadrivalent 2019-2020 season) (batch number LE79N, expiry date 30th June 2021) for prophylaxis. Co-suspect products included flu seasonal qiv dresden pre-filled syringe device (Fluarix Tetra Pre-Filled Syringe Device) injection syringe for prophylaxis. On 17th September 2021, the patient received Fluarix Quadrivalent 2019-2020 season and Fluarix Tetra Pre-Filled Syringe Device. On 17th September 2021, unknown after receiving Fluarix Quadrivalent 2019-2020 season and Fluarix Tetra Pre-Filled Syringe Device, the patient experienced expired vaccine used. On an unknown date, the outcome of the expired vaccine used was unknown. This report is made by GSK without prejudice and does not imply any admission or liability for the incident or its consequences. Additional details were reported as follows: On 17th September 2021, patient received Fluarix vaccine, which was expired on 30th June 2021. The reporter consented to follow up.
