reaction at the injection site / 2 inches in length, red; reaction at the injection site / painful to the touch; Flu like symptoms; Fevers ranging up to 101.9; night sweats; fatigue; body aches and pains; This case was reported by a consumer and described the occurrence of injection site erythema in a male patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) (batch number LN399, expiry date October 2022) for prophylaxis. Previously administered products included Flu vaccine with an associated reaction of pain in extremity (received a dose every year without anything but a little arm ache. For the tolerance of a dose, refer linked case US2021AMR011233). Concomitant products included PPSV23 (PNEUMOCOCCAL POLYSACCHARIDE VACCINE 23-VALENT). On 10th January 2021, the patient received Shingrix. In January 2021, less than a week after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced injection site erythema, injection site pain, influenza-like symptoms, fever, night sweat, fatigue and pain. On an unknown date, the outcome of the injection site erythema, injection site pain, influenza-like symptoms, fever, night sweat, fatigue and pain were unknown. It was unknown if the reporter considered the injection site erythema, injection site pain, influenza-like symptoms, fever, night sweat, fatigue and pain to be related to Shingrix. Additional details were provided as follows: The age at vaccination was not reported. After receiving Shingrix, the patient had been sick with flu like symptoms ever since. The patient also experienced fevers ranging up to 101.9, night sweats, fatigue, body aches and pains. The patient had consulted his friend a visiting nurse in for over 40 years and she saw the reaction at the injection site. It was about 2 inches in length, red and painful to the touch. The patient got the PPSV23 vaccine in November 2020 without incident. The patient had zero preexisting conditions. The patient was in excellent shape for someone 63 years old and beat Covid by himself isolated in his loft from 17th March 2020 till 01st April 2020 before a lot was known about treatments. The patient took zero medications at 63. The patient ate a superb diet. The patient's father was a doctor and he did quite well at pre-med bio. The patient reported that, he believed in science and vaccines and would take the Covid vaccine soon as he was able to. Seven months after his initial Covid infection, on 23rd November 2020, the patient still had antibodies in his system. The patient had zero respiratory issues. He was getting tested two days in a row at 3 different testing sites in to make sure it wasn't Covid and rule that out. The patient was asking if the GlaxoSmithKline had any negative feedback about Lot LN399, expiry date October 2022 being too strong. The patient wore his mask everywhere since getting sick in, wash his hands frequently, etc. The patient followed the CDC and other accepted guidelines. The flu had been light this season, especially in where like 90-95 percent of its citizens wear masks. So, if it was not the flu, not Covid and not some strep microbe, then logic pointed to Shingrix. The patient was waiting for answer.; Sender's Comments: US-GLAXOSMITHKLINE-US2021AMR011233:same patient
