instead of receiving a pediatric dose, the patient received an adult dose; received the 3rd dose of Engerix-B, but instead of receiving a pediatric dose, the patient received an adult dose; This non-serious case was reported by a nurse via call center representative and described the occurrence of overdose in a 5-year-old female patient who received HBV (Engerix B adult) (batch number NJG23) for prophylaxis. On 14-AUG-2023, the patient received the 3rd dose of Engerix B adult. On 14-AUG-2023, an unknown time after receiving Engerix B adult, the patient experienced overdose (Verbatim: instead of receiving a pediatric dose, the patient received an adult dose) and adult product administered to child (Verbatim: received the 3rd dose of Engerix-B, but instead of receiving a pediatric dose, the patient received an adult dose). The outcome of the overdose and adult product administered to child were unknown. Additional Information: Receipt Date: 15-AUG-2023 A nurse practitioner called to inform that a 5-year-old patient received the 3rd dose of Engerix-B, but instead of receiving a pediatric dose, the patient received an adult dose, which led to overdose and adult product administered to child. The vaccine administration facility is the same as primary reporter. The reporter consented to follow up.
