Symptomtext

The MOP describes receipt of 2 mo vaccines (vaccines were actually given 5 days before birthday). That evening she was holding the baby and experienced sudden total flaccidity, cyanosis and respiratory arrest. Her spouse performed rescue breathing and EMS was called. ER exam was normal and family was told was not vaccine related and likely just a very somnolent infant. Child received DTaP #2 17 OCT 2017 (lot # YD5RS) without repeat event , although did experience delayed urticaria that evening which resolved by morning (no eval or treatment). Child was seen the following evening in ER and diagnosed with supurrative otitis media with TM rupture.
