Received vaccination on Tuesday. Felt okay. Wednesday and Thursday I felt the "usual" soreness at injection site, overall body aches. When I awoke on Friday, October 28, at around 7am, my legs felt hot and sore in bed. When I got up to walk, I could hardly do so. My inguinal ligament and my quads were excruciatingly tender to touch. My legs felt very weak....almost as if they were not in my control. I felt unsteady on my feet and while attempting to walk. My upper legs, anterior only, were very, very sore to the touch. I tried to massage them to see if I could make it better. Applied heating pad. Drank lots of water. I notified my doctor on November 12 so she would know and so my file would be noted. The upper leg quad pain lasted for about three weeks making it very difficult to move about without considerable pain. Gradually, the pain and burning sensation in quads (anterior femoral nerve???) started to lessen; however, the pain next dropped into my knees. Aching, tender to touch. The knee pain lasted for another week or so. The same painful sensation moved down to tibialis anterior muscles. Same burning sensation. Same exquisite soreness to the touch. Today the pain is milder, but still present from inguinal area to above the ankle.
