Within 2 hours flu-like symptoms. Worse the next day. Chills, sweats, fever, headache, temples hurt when I coughed. Spoke to pharmacist almost daily and was told these were side effects from Shingrix vaccine and should subside by the next day. By day three my lungs were being affected. Breathing became difficult, I became very weak, hallucinated and was shaking the chills were so bad. The only reason I did not seek medical assistance earlier was because pharmacist repeatedly told me side effects would subside. The last time I called told him I was being poisoned and his response was "no you are not". Oh yes I was!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 69 and received the second/booster Shingles vaccine which had very intense side effects that began on the 2nd day and lasted through the 4th day. You are stating vague, inaccurate, and safe descriptions of the side effects and you are sugarcoating the most likely reactions which can lead to misunderstandings and unmet expectations it would be more helpful if you included the words ?intense?, ? most likely?, and ?possibly not able to go to work?. It is essential to convey the intensity of these side effects when discussing the vaccine's potential reactions. You need to give better explanations to each individual vaccine for instance the shingles shot usually has a very intense reaction. I had extreme body aches much longer than you give. This went on for over 24 hours and was the most intense for 9 hours. ibuprofen, Tylenol, or any of those pain relievers wouldn?t even touch it for 8 hours this is ridiculous that you hold back this information. I live in a retirement community and had a discussion this morning with FIVE neighbors None of them had experienced such severe side effects before, and they felt that the CDC, along with doctors are sloppy in not informing you when you get this Shingle vaccine. I asked neighbors if they reported it to CDC and none of them did. You are very inaccurate when you claim the percentage of people's side effects and extreme aches and I believe you know it. DO YOUR HOMEWORK and improve the vaccine AND It is crucial to offer a truthful warning that the Shingles vaccine often results in intense side effects of severe body aches, so that individuals can make informed decisions about their vaccinations. And YES, the vaccine is still better than Shingles, thank you, please CDC be truthful of the vaccine reaction.

About 5 weeks after the vaccination, I developed a very large blister at the injection site on my arm, my chest was covered in cold sore-like blisters and hives, my neck had some blisters, my jawline and face had random blisters. Now, I still have random single blisters appear on my chest, neck and face. On May 18th, I had developed a severe ulcer in my eye. The optometrist said that there is a very good chance that the ulcer was caused by shingles. I began taking my Valtrex medication to try and calm and reduce the outbreaks and continue to take this daily. My husband had the same Shingrix vaccination at the same date and time. He developed full blown blisters covering the entirety of his back and across his stomach. He was in so much pain he couldn't sleep. Later he developed blisters on his calves, behind his knees and on the inside of his elbows. His reaction is much more intense.

My husband went to see an Internal Medicine doctor. The doctor said that there is no way this is from Shingrix and believed he was having an allergic reaction to something we have changed. This IS NOT the case and we will no longer be seeing this doctor. I understand that there isn't a live virus injected, but believe the vaccination could trigger shingles since both of us in a single household had reactions. We haven't changed our foods, diets, skincare products, supplements, laundry detergent or anything. We did our own research online and found that a lot of people had reactions similar to ours several weeks following the vaccination. I went to the optometrist for the ulcer in my eye.

Pain at the injection site at first, as expected. Then a round, hot, red area at the injection site...as expected. The heat/fever at the site disappeared by Sunday 10/17 but there was still some pinkness - a whole circle area around the injection site. The area has also been itchy on and off. The mark is still visible, and it's still itchy on and off, even a week after the shot.

Pt chose to have both shots in the same arm. She reports leaving pharmacy, going shopping and within an hour feeling very cold. She says her temperature went up to 104.1 at the highest that first night hours after the immunizations. She has been treating it with acetaminophen and it has come down some, but remains over 100 degrees. She also reports feverish, red, painful area on arm at site of injections.
