Symptomtext
Patient came in for her flu vaccine not recalling that she received her flu vaccine for the 2022 year already back on Nov. 08 2022. Medical assistant did not verify that the pt had documentation in her chart stating she had gotten the vaccine for the year already. I called CDC, and they have informed me that the patient should not experience any adverse reaction due to being vaccinated an additional time. Only thing they noted was that the patient may experience swelling and slight pain at the injection site. Patient will be notified of the event by clinic nurse.
