Symptomtext
immediately upon influenza vaccine administration, site of injection on right deltoid began to swell. this was second injection given and pt had no reaction in left deltoid. site swelled to size of quarter before bandage was placed. Triaged patient for signs of allergic reaction and went over allergy history (none). Patient stated that she had a similar reaction after her shingles shot last year in the same arm, but nothing prior. Advised patient to keep benadryl on hand before she left premises although she was feeling fine, and contacted her MD office to let them know of reaction.
