Hyperhidrosis Loss of consciousness Muscle twitching Pallor Syncope

Symptomtext

Per Emergency Repose Team provider's documentation: "Called to ERT for momentary syncope after flu/covid vaccines 7 yo o/w healthy female received 2 vaccines and shortly after became pale, sweaty, and passed out on bench (no fall or injury), mild twitching noted. Was lifted by team to position and returned to consciousness in less than 10 seconds without any postictal state. Initial BP was mildly elevated, team believed she was moving her arm. On arrival she was supine on the bed, alert/oriented, pale and a little sweaty. Denied any nausea, sob or mouth symptoms. No rash. Repeat BP normalized. Pt indicated resolution of symptoms and had return of normal color to face. She was allowed to sit up (did so quickly and without issue). After a few moments, repeat BP was normal and HR in 70-80s. Father confirmed she looked like she was 'herself' again. Pt stood and observed for a minute w/o return of symptoms. Released to routine post vax observation period."

Symptomtext

30 S/P Administration of deployment vaccination patient began to feel lethargy, fatigue, HA, Mild vague abdominal pain, hoarseness, and diffuse trunk hive like rash. Transfers via POV to nearby clinic where monitor shows HOTN, Mild Hypoxia which continued to worsen which prompted Epi Pen Admin x1 at 0.3. EMS was consulted and he was transferred to ED where he was put under further observations and discharged 2 hours later. Dx w/ Anaphylaxis due to Vaccine, though unsure which one.

Patient received Influenza Vaccine this AM. Vaccine information; Lot #: A, Exp. date: 2024-JUN-30. Patient C/O not feeling good after receiving FLU shot. Observed patient feeling shaky. Two sets of V/S done: at 0650 - BP 236/143 HR 92 T 98.3 O2 Sat 98% RA. Rapid Response called. At 0656 - BP 190/109 HR 78 T 98.3 O2 Sat 100% RA. Patient said she has Hx of high blood pressure, did not take her BP meds today. Patient C/O chest tightness. Transferred to the ER for further monitoring.

Fatigue Feeling hot Hyperhidrosis

Symptomtext

Parent reported that child was feeling hot and sweating 10 minutes after receiving vaccine. Parent also stated that patient had a similar reaction after previous influenza vaccination, but she did not disclose that at the check in station when asked. On assessment, patient had visible perspiration and reported feeling tired, patient's parent also reported that patient had not eat breakfast. Vital signs completed, patient was provided with a lollipop and reported feeling better after eating lollipop. Vital signs were redone, and patient was transported the to facility ER in wheelchair for observation accompanied by staff and the patient's father.
