Symptomtext
Received 1st dose at 3pm on 7/7/21. Observed by facility staff for 30 minutes. Felt fatigued, but otherwise no symptoms. On 7/8/21 at 7:45am went for a run outside. Mid-run felt generalized, severe itching and swelling in throat and facial swelling. Returned home within minutes, reported symptoms to me (mom). Called 911. Epi-Pen 0.3mg injection given in right thigh with no effect. Three minutes later, another Epi-Pen 0.3mg injection given in left thigh given. Benadryl 25mg PO given. Attempted 2nd Benadryl dose...unable to swallow. EMS arrived. Taken to ER. Symptoms slowly improved. Solumedrol IV given in ER. Monitored for 2.5hrs then discharged home with Prednisone PO for 5 days.
