Bell's Palsy; She was worried it could be a stroke; This is a spontaneous report received from a contactable consumer reporting for herself. This 73 years old female patient received the first single dose of BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE) on 13Apr2021, in left arm, for COVID-19 immunisation. Medical history included Bell's Palsy 20 years before the report, shingles in Nov2020, ongoing blood pressure, ongoing cholesterol and ongoing indigestion. Concomitant medications included omeprazole orally, 20 mg, 1x/day (1 capsule every morning), lisinopril/hydrochlorothiazide orally, 1 DF, 1x/day (in the morning), for blood pressure and ezetimibe for cholesterol. The patient experienced Bell's palsy following the first dose, since an unspecified date in 2021. She recovered quickly on an unspecified date in 2021. The event was described as "drool down one side, make sure close eyes at night or they dry out". The patient was drinking and it was leaking out the side of mouth, smiled and nothing was moving on the right side, right side of face went saggy. It was the right side that was messed up, the right eye didn't have the muscle coordination that the left eye did. The patient was worried it could be a stroke. She stated she will most likely not receive second dose. Information on the lot/batch number has been requested.

This 41-year-old Female Other HCP (Patient) reported for self. A 41-year-old non-pregnant female patient received BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 mRNA VACCINE, formulation: Solution for injection, Batch/Lot Number: 18), dose 1 via an unspecified route of administration, administered in Arm Left on 01Mar2021 09:00 (age at the time of vaccination was 41-year-old) as dose 1, single for COVID-19 immunization. Medical history included food allergy (egg whites) from an unknown date and unknown if ongoing. Concomitant medication(s) included colecalciferol (VITAMIN D [COLECALCIFEROL]) taken for an unspecified indication, start and stop date were not reported and the patient administered Birth control and prenatal gummy for an unspecified indication, start and stop date were not reported.The patient did not receive any other vaccines within 4 weeks prior to the COVID-19 vaccine. The patient did not test COVID-19 positive prior to vaccination. The patient had not been tested for COVID-19 since the vaccination. Facility type vaccine was Hospital. It was reported that around 2 pm, the patient made some lunch. The patient took a bite of an apple and the roof of my mouth blistered up, the glands at the back of my tongue became swollen and hurt, my epiglottis and esophagus hurt with the passage of food all the way into my chest on 01Mar2021 14:00. That stayed irritated when not eating and re-aggravated any time the patient ate. The patient ears felt congested with internal pressure, they were mildly throbbing on 01Mar2021 14:00. The patient could not brush her tongue with a toothbrush on any portion due to it hurting. The next day was the same and my epiglottis and esophagus felt like they were bruised almost. Treatment medication included an aleve Tuesday night to help with inflammation and by Wednesday most of the experience subsided with mild tenderness to epiglottis/esophagus. No treatment was received for the remaining events. Outcome of all the events was reported as recovered on an unspecified date. No follow-up attempts are possible. No further information is expected.

Woke up 1 week after my 1st shot, both arms were numb and tingling in my right 4 fingers. Neck pain, felt like I slept on it wrong. Headache and fatigue all day. Around 5pm, left arm at injection site was extremely sensitive, warm and red. My entire upper arm and 1/2 of my lower arm felt as if it was burnt. No fever. I took tylenol and benadryl, and went to bed. Next morning fingers were still tingling and my right thumb area under my fingernail feels like I burnt it on something. Even today, 1 month later, my thumb still feels burnt and tingling in the very tips of my right 3 fingers.

3/4 very sore arm. 3/6 arm soreness gone. 3/7 at 2:30am awoke with rapid heart rate. Continued to mid morning and developed chills, fatigue, slight fever, no appetite. By days end felt much better. However the very next day 3/8 woke up feeling fine but by days end lower abdomen painful. Pain continued into 3/9. I called my family Dr and went over systems on phone. Diagnoses, bout of Diverticulitis. Which I have had before. The times before required antibiotic etal, not this time. I writing this today 3/12 to say feeling much better. I?m on a light diet and this seems to have helped this time.

Immediately after receiving the shot, I experienced quite a bit of pain in my left arm. After 5 minutes of receiving vaccination, I started to experience shortness of breath followed by rapid heart rate (which was confirmed by the nurse,) and lightheadedness. I also found that I was shaking if I held my hand out in front of me. After about 20 minutes after the shot, the shortness of breath, rapid heart rate and shaking subsided although I was still lightheaded. I waited another 15 minutes until I only experienced mild lightheadedness and left. The next day, my arm was still very sore (which lasted for 3 days) although I felt fine, however, experienced moderate fatigue and general achiness and just rested. I experienced this also for 3 days with it lessening each day. By the 4th day, my arm was only slightly sore and didn't feel much fatigue.

Woke up at 3 am with the worst chills I have ever experienced. I can usually do deep breathing or relaxing to calm my chills, but these would not let up. It felt like my body was being squeezed. I was finally able to get up and used a walker to get to the kitchen and took 1000 mg acetaminophen. Without the walker, which I don't usually use, I was afraid I would not be able to stand up or would stumble due to my shaking. By 4 am, the shaking had stopped enough for me to lay back down and I was able to get to sleep. I had a fever of 99.8 when I woke up. Later that morning it was 100.8. By that night it had gone down to 98.7 and the next morning it was my normal 97.6 and I feel great.

I got my vaccine at 4:00 p.m. About 10 hours (2:00 a.m.) after the vaccine I started getting aching back pain and bilateral shoulder pain. About 12 hours after the vaccine I spiked a fever and felt like I was hallucinating. I was unable to check my temperature until 10:30 a.m. the next morning and it was 102.4. I had a fever, body aches, and headache the entire following day. My fever broke to 99.0 around 6:00 p.m. I also had severe pain at the injection site that started several hours after my injection and continued to get worse. The pain was so bad it was too painful to move my arm. Today is day two post-vaccine, I have no fever but feel very weak and lethargic.

A 76-year-old female patient received BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE), via an unspecified route of administration, administered in left arm on 05Mar2021 11:00 (at the age of 76-year-old) (Lot Number: EUA) as dose 1, single for COVID-19 immunization. The patient was not pregnant at the time of vaccination. Medical history included heart disease, COVID-19 (prior to vaccination) and allergy to penicillin, TACE, a pain medicine and, Demerol. Concomitant medication(s) included levothyroxine; lisinopril; sotalol; atorvastatin, all taken for an unspecified indication, start and stop dates were not reported. The patient did not receive any other vaccine in four weeks. On 05Mar2021 11:00, the patient had vaccine, chills, headache, Next day headache, tiredness, evening fever 99.8. Next day slight headache, tiredness, that evening severe chills, fever 101.4. Next day increased soreness & red around injection site, slight headache so far. It was unknown if treatment was given for the events. The outcome of events was recovering. Since vaccination, the patient has not been tested for COVID-19. No follow up attempts are possible. No further information is expected.

Slight tenderness at injection sight; Headache; This is a spontaneous report from a non-contactable consumer, the patient. A 55-year-old non-pregnant female patient received the first dose of BNT162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 mRNA VACCINE; Lot Number: EUA) via an unspecified route of administration in the left arm on 12Apr2021 at 19:45 (at the age of 55-year-old) as a single dose for COVID-19 immunisation. Medical history included blood pressure high, pre-diabetes, allergy, food allergy (many foods and tree). The patient previously received erythromycin (MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN) on an unspecified date for an unknown indication and experienced drug allergy. Concomitant medications included metformin (MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN), xylometazoline hydrochloride (SUDAFED), acetylsalicylic acid (ASPIRIN), levocetirizine dihydrochloride (XYZALL), vitamin-D nos (VITAMIN D) and LOS for unknown indications from unknown dates. Prior to the vaccination, the patient was not diagnosed with COVID-19. Since the vaccination the patient not been tested for COVID-19. The patient did not receive any other vaccines within four weeks prior to the vaccination. On 13Apr2021, at 07:00 the patient experienced slight tenderness at injection sight and headache. No therapeutic measures were taken as a result of the reported events. The events did not result in doctor or other healthcare professional office/clinic visit, and emergency room/department or urgent care. The clinical outcome of the event slight tenderness at injection sight and headache was recovering at the time of this report. No follow-up attempts are possible. No further information is expected.

About 4 hours after shot I felt nauseas and dizzy, had a low grade fever of 99.6. Had the shot in my left arm, had sharp pain in my left upper back and left lower abdomen. Arm was not sore until the middle of the night and next day - very sore to touch. Next day, just tired and a little feverish.

I had very bad diarrhea , accompanied by no other symptoms- no nausea, cramping, or any bad feelings like I would normally expect w/ such dreadful runny bowels. This lasted for 6 weeks, then got a little better, but still very runny for another week and a half. Today is the first day it is ALMOST normal. I did not tell anyone but my husband, and then last week I had an acupuncture treatment (not for this)and she told me I should tell the clinic. I have not yet, because it is so embarrassing. Then I looked at the paper I was given at the time of the vaccination, and saw there was this forum to report on. It was like nearly pure water with small little chunks of food; after the 1st 6 weeks it was more like thick soup. It did not make my anus sore like I would expect from regular diarrhea either. I have no idea if it was caused by the vaccination, but I can think of nothing else.

dizziness started 4/11 - 11 days after the vaccnine - followed by nausea and headache. this has gotten worse since then. was seen in ER on 4/13 at ER was then seen at my PCP on 4/12 and again yesterday, 4/22 - had full blood workup , and all blood work came out good / normal ranges, including WBC count - had ultra sound of left leg and normal and ekg as routine, also normal. went back to Dr. 4/23 because of bad dizziness lasting all day in waves and headache in temple area. now being treated with augmentin and prednisone for possible sinus infection, but i have never had this with any other sinus infection i ever had in the past. next step is MRI of the brain, which i really dont want to do. any help would be appreciated to rule out if this is due to the vaccine. very nervous. Thank you

5 days after the 1st. Moderna Covid-19 vaccine shot, my left arm started itching that day. On Friday the itching got worse and the area was sore, when I looked at my arm later that day, my arm had a swollen circle around the injection site about the size of a tangerine. The area was itching, sore and red. Saturday morning when I got up the itching and swelling was worse and was very red and hot to the touch and I had developed a rash outside of the circle area. I called the Drs. office of which they have an acute center on Saturdays. I was seen about 4:45 pm. that day. They told me that I had ceullitis (Infection) at the site of the injection on left arm. They put me on Augmentin for 7 days along with a steroid creme to apply 2x/day for the itching, redness and swelling. The allergic reaction got to the size of an orange. The medicine was working, by 3 days the swelling and deep redness was gone as well as the heat at that area. Today is day 6 of being on meds and no swelling, itching, rash or deep red. You can still see the circular allergic reaction which is still discolored that was about the size of an orange.

The nurse told me to take Benadryl and Tylonol as soon as I get home. So I did every four hours. Today (next day) I have brain fog, feel very weak and sore all over, have pain in my neck and head. Also, the left side of my face and neck feel numb. I feel like when I first was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrom and Fibromyalgia. Very hard to do the simpliest of tasks

- Two time breast cancer patient in 1993 and 2013. 1993 involved removal of tumor in left breast and 21 lymph nodes 10 of which were positive. I received the shot around 12:30pm around 10pm I started having chills. I went to sleep until about 1 am when I woke up and was itching on my chest, shoulders, under arms and back, my cheeks and nose was also red. There were no hives or rash just itching. At about 3:15am I toke two tylenol because I was still itching my head hurt and I just did not feel well. I did not really sleep all night at 7 I moved from my bed to the coach that is when I really noticed the body aches but the itching had mostly went away. I still did not feel well took my temp it was 99.8 I took two Advil and went to sleep around 3:30 on Saturday I felt better not 100%. Sunday I was fine back to normal.

1. Persistant rash and itchiness at the sight of the injection. Swelling and rash was noticed the afternoon after getting the shot. The itchiness started six days after receiving the shot. It's not horrible or unbearable. 2. Persistant fatigue and sporatic dizziness. This has been the worst side effect. I've felt drained every day and still feel the same, even after getting some sleep. The dizziness is like experiencing tunnel vision without actually seeing tunnel vision. It comes on suddenly and goes away after a few moments. This has not abated; I am still going through this today. 3. Nausea for the first couple of days. This was mild. But there has been a reduction in appetite for the past week.

Arm, joints and muscles extremely very painful, very tired and sick to my stomach. Stayed in bed for 2 days, then sat around for 3 more days. At that point I tried to start doing things although my muscles and some joints were still a little sore. I lasted 2 days and was back down again for a day then took it easy for 3 more days . Not really sore now, but still a little tired. Have been doing more and will try to go back to normal tomorrow

After 15 min. (4:10 p.m.) I left the Dr. office to go to the store in the same town. While there (about 4:15 p.m.) I started a bad headache, neck hurt and feeling "strange". While waiting in the check out line I felt hot and weak. After a few min. when I got home ( about 5:15 p.m.) my face felt tight and I became itchy on all parts of my body except not as much on my legs. The next day the headache was not as bad but still itchy especially on my face, head and back. My arm was not any more sore than with a flu shot. The next day the headache was gone, the arm was not sore, but I was still itchy. The itching would come and go for about a week.

I awoke at 5:00 a.m. on 02/25/21, feeling feverish, used the toilet, and returned to bed. Awoke about 3 hours later with fever, chills, slight nausea, and achy. Temperature registered at 37.5. Took acetaminophen (500mg) and returned to bed. Injection site swelling, redness, soreness. Symptoms lasted all day. Highest temperature was 37.8 at approximately 7:00 p.m. Fever broke at around 10:30 p.m. Slept thru the night and awoke at 7:00 a.m. on 02/26/21, feeling much better. Injection site is less swollen and less sore; some redness remains.

This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer (patient). A 52-year-old non-pregnant female patient received her first dose of bnt162b2 (BNT162B2 reported as PFIZER BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE; unknown lot number and expiration date), via an unspecified route of administration right arm on 03Feb2021 10:30 at a single dose for covid-19 immunization. The patient medical history was none. The patient was not diagnosed with COVID-19 prior to vaccination. Concomitant medication included vitamin d [vitamin d nos] (VITAMIN D), probiotics, chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine (GLUCOSAMINE CHONDROITIN), thyroid (ARMOUR THYROID), magnesium glycinate, progesterone and melatonin. The patient did not receive any other vaccines within 4 weeks prior to the COVID vaccine. The patient received the most recent COVID-19 vaccine in her workplace clinic. On 04Feb2021 04:30 AM, the patient reported that she woke the morning after the vaccine, and she was unable to walk without assistance due to dizziness. The adverse event result in a doctor or other healthcare professional office/clinic visit. It was unknown if the patient received treatment for the adverse events. The events were considered non-serious. The patient has not been tested for COVID-19 since the vaccination. The outcome of the events was not recovered. The following information on the batch/lot number has been requested.

Covid19 Moderna vaccine administered, no serious adverse effects other than some arm soreness and general tiredness for first 24 hours, but 2 days afterward noticed rash on skin near injection site, and 5 days later noticed constant itching and a lump formed under the injection site. Lump is not protruding much and feels about the size of a large marble if palpated. I am reporting it for collection of data, mostly, but do wonder if a second shot will produce a more pronounced reaction on this score?

Prior to appearance of rash, but following vaccine receipt, took Cephalexin, 500mg (for possible finger infection); Ambien; Vitamin D3. Stopped above once rash appeared, added Benadryl. I had my vaccine at 10:55am on Saturday. I felt completely fine the rest of the day. Early Sunday morning, around 4am, I woke up sweating and with a fever. My normal temp is around 97.5. My temp was 100.5. For the next 30 hours, I had a fever that ultimately peaked around 101.5 on Sunday evening. I felt very bad, like I had the flu. It is probably the worst I have felt in several years. I had significant muscle pain and even laying on the couch was too uncomfortable. I laid in bed and slept off and on. Monday, when I first woke for work at 5:35am I was still feverish and achy, although I could tell I was better than I had been at my worst Sunday evening. After going back to sleep, I woke up at 10am feeling significantly better. Aside from being rather flushed and sweaty, I felt fine the rest of the day. My injection site was mottled red, swollen, and painful for about three more days, with improvement every day. I am not concerned about my reaction. I am only reporting it to provide data.

Morning after the vaccine and into the evening hours - Vaccine was 1/26 @ 11:30am and side effects still prominent on 1/27/2021 @ 8:30pm. Muscle pain in and around the upper arm where the vaccine was administered, still hurts and is tender to touch. Feels like someone punched the area numerous times also pain in upper shoulder and neck. Later in the morning @ around 10:30a throughout the day and into the-night, a headache that comes and goes-located in a strange area, in the lower back portion of the head where the head and neck meet. In addition, low back pain and tired.

After being symptom free for 10 days following the injection, a mottled red area was noticed around the location of the shot and about 6" down the arm on the 10th day. There is a slight warmth, and some minor itching in the area but at this time no pain.

I felt great after my shot for several hours, then about 3:30pm I began to have a slight headache that became worse, then felt nauseous, then at 4:30pm I threw up for the first time. In the next 6 hours, I threw up 2-3 more times, the headache also became worse (7 on a 0-10 scale), I got chills and was sweating, and could not get out of bed. My arm was sore, but the other sx were so bad, I did not notice. By midnight I was a little better. I slept on and off for 18 hours, then by 2pm, I was good enough to get out of bed and take a shower. I slowly became better and better and today (Monday - 3 days later), I am fine and was able to run a few miles.

My arm was sore the first couple of days and then it all subsided. Then on 1/21/2021 the injection site sore when I woke up, was swollen, red, and I had an achy body/chills. I took Tylenol for the achy body and that has helped, but the injection site on 1/22/2021 still is very sore, red, swollen, and it looks like I?m having a slight allergic reaction with hives around the injection site. Nothing major just unusual since after I got the vaccine the soreness only lasted a couple days, then it returned almost a week later more sore/red/swollen than when I first was vaccinated.

Two dark pink spots on arm on day 2. My arm felt like it was pulsing. As the days have passed the color has gotten lighter but the mark has gotten longer. It is now day 10 and I have a pink mark on my arm that is 4 inches long and 2.5 inches wide. Lighter pink than before. My are still is sore.

almost fainted; body pain and chills; body pain and chills; This is a spontaneous report from a non-contactable other health professional (patient). A 21-year-old female patient (pregnant: No) received first dose of BNT162B2 (Batch/lot number: EUA), intramuscularly in left arm on 06Jan2021 12:00 PM at single dose for COVID-19 immunization. The patient's medical history was not reported. Concomitant medication included lisdexamfetamine mesilate (VYVANSE), celecoxib (CELEXA). The patient experienced almost fainted, body pain and chills all on 07Jan2021 03:30 AM. About 15 hours the vaccine, the patient woke up at 3 am with extreme body pain and chills and almost fainted when trying to get paracetamol (TYLENOL). The events were reported as non-serious. The adverse event was not resulted in doctor or other healthcare professional office/clinic visit, Emergency room/department or urgent care. No treatment received for the adverse event. The outcome of events was unknown. Facility where the most recent COVID-19 vaccine was administered: Nursing Home/Senior Living Facility. Prior to vaccination, the patient wasn't diagnosed with COVID-19. Since the vaccination, the patient has not been tested for COVID-19. No follow-up attempts are possible. No further information is expected.

Injection site pain, tiredness, headache, chills, feverish (masked because of hot flashes), injection site swelling, injection site redness, nausea, swollen lymph nodes, sneezing, runny nose, dizziness and weakness, and slight chest pressure. Symptoms came and went but the palm sized redness and swelling at the injection site with extreme itching continues to this day. Used cold compresses, topical lotion for allergies, and Vaseline but nothing helped. Will try Benadryl.

An hour after the vaccine, my lower lip started swelling and feeling puffy. It got worse and the inside of my mouth started feeling more puffy and full. I called my doctor. He directed to go to the Emergency Department right away. Since I'm allergic to Benadryl, my doctor wanted to make sure I'd be OK. I was treated with 40 mg of oral Prednisone and given a prescription to continue taking 20 mg daily for the next 3 days. The Emergency Department doctor recommended that I do not take the 2nd dose, but I wondered if I was on Prednisone the day of the next shot if I'd be safer? The ER doctor thinks the next reaction of a swelling lip/mouth could be more intense after the 2nd dose. I will follow up with my internist. I've had a mild swelling of my lip a few times in my life after eating something with artificial preservatives.
