Symptomtext

No reaction until awoken with chest pain and racing heart around 0430 the night after booster vaccination. Previous vaccines were all Pfizer, this was my fourth Covid vaccination in total and my first since having been infected with and recovered from COVID-19 over a year prior. Also received flu shot at the same time. Pain was worse with deep breath, better with leaning forward or lying on stomach. Was not bad enough that I felt I needed to be seen, did not make me tired or feel sick, just palpitations, rapid heart beat, and mild pain. Continued for 3 days about the same, then worsened during the day. Researched on my own and saw pericarditis as the likely cause, started a course of 400mg ibuprofen 4x a day, pain resolved within 4 days. Followed up with doctor at urgent care about a month later with upper respiratory infection and mentioned it, doctor agreed that it was likely a pericarditis reaction to booster vaccine. I was sick with Covid-19 August of 2022, and did have similar chest pain and palpitations, but I attributed it to lung inflammation as my cough was very severe, never evaluated or treated for it outside of normal ibuprofen/tylenol cycling for fever control with Covid infection. Chest pain, heart rate, and palpitations have not returned or reoccurred since ibuprofen course.

Received the Covid and Flu immunizations the afternoon of 11/30/23. Went to bed about 9:30 pm. Woke up at 8 am 12/1/23 and felt sick - sore all over, especially in left arm where received injections. Stayed home from school and went back to bed. Woke up at 11 am and went to the bathroom. Passed out there. Got up and tried to go back to bed. Passed out in the hall. Mom called 911 and the EMTs said she had low blood pressure and seemed dehydrated. She had not eaten or had fluid since 9:30 pm the night before. Went to ER via ambulance. They gave her 600 cc of fluid. At hospital for 6 hours, during which time they gave her 2 more liters of fluid. Doctors don't know why she passed out, but think it is a combination of the immunizations, being a little dehydrated, and a change 1 week ago in the dose of Intuniv from 2 mg to 3 mg. It can lower blood pressure. She started feeling better after receiving the fluids and eating. Today 12/2/23 she is doing much better, but still a little tired.

They did a urine sample for pregnancy, nasal swab for viruses, and blood testing. Not pregnant, no flu/covid/RSV, blood work was normal except chloride was slightly high. Magnesium normal.

Symptomtext

Requested a COVID shot. Filled out paperwork/consent for a COVID shot. Was accidentally given flu shot by the MA who was not paying attention. Spoke to the pharmacist afterwards who was made aware of the mistake. Staff does not appear to see the gravity of the situation of giving a patient the wrong vaccination without consent. During the injection, felt severe pain and burning in my left arm and numbness in my left hand. Unable to tell if will have further adverse events as I just received the shot without my consent yesterday.

Symptomtext

Patient reports lethargy and pain for 3 days, starting the night of the vaccination date. "Everything ached" and patient was freezing the next morning. Arm was painful and red, and needed help getting out of bed.

Symptomtext

Patient was given MMRV (proquad) by mistake instead of giving MMR, as well as a dose of Varivax. She received two doses of varicella because of this. Patient's parents have been notified and advised to give Tylenol to prevent any fevers due to increased risk of fever and febrile seizures.
