Symptomtext
3/17 patient presented with signs/symptoms of inflammatory dermatosis, myositis and sinusitis. She also had a marked conjunctivitis. She was afebrile and had no GI complaints. A work-up that day was negative for laboratory criteria for Strep A infection or for Kawasaki. She returned for follow-up the next day and still with eye discharge and redness, lips cracking with fissures. EKG from day prior normal, as well. no fever. no GI symptoms. Cough from 3/14 had resolved with po prednisolone and prn albuterol. 3/21: she returned again for follow-up-- Her acute symptoms had largely resolved and she was feeling better but now had significant acral peeling/desquamation. She recovered without sequelae. However, now parents are now report that they believe that illness was caused by one of the vaccines she had.
