Symptomtext

The day after he received his shots, parents noted that he had profound neck/chin swelling, and also on cheeks, arms, and legs. Denies difficulty breathing, did not appear to have any discomfort, no vomiting, no diarrhea. Fever for about 24 hours day after shots and received Tylenol. Patient was not evaluated at the time of the symptoms.

Symptomtext

Heat and redness at injection site post 24 hours after immunization of Pentacel given in Left leg. Mom states it continued to increase in size of her palm and firm to touch. Prescribed Cephalexin 250mg/5ml 2.5ml PO BID x 10days and Mupirocin 2% ointment topical to be applied BID. Encouraged to do warm soaks. Asked mom to bring child back to clinic if no improvement.
