Symptomtext
The day after vaccination (01/16/2021), patient was a bit cranky and had slight tenderness around injection site. Stayed with Maternal Aunt on the night of 01/16/2021; she reported that he felt warm, but mostly otherwise okay. Mild redness (5x5cm of splotchy pink skin over left thigh), Left leg swelling (2cm larger than 'normal' right side), "babying" his left leg by favoring to walk on right leg more (easily walks back and forth across room for sucker candy) starting on 01/17/2021 (2 days after vaccination). No pain detected on exam, even with direct palpation of left thigh. Patient left office with same signs and symptoms as before coming into the office.

- Physical examination done by Medical Doctor on 01/17/2021. Dr. determined the best thing to do at the moment is to just do observation. She believes that it is an exaggerated immune response to the vaccine. It would be unlikely to be an allergy and that the patient should complete all vaccines as usual for future use. Parents will look out for fevers, worsening pain/discomfort or increasing redness. There is no cellulitis that she has noted currently, but if symptoms worsen, consider antibiotics.
