Pt came to the counsel window last night and said she needed to get her second dose of the Shingrix vaccine but was concerned because she said after receiving the vaccine she developed a red, itchy, 2 inch raised rash at the injection site that lasted about 2 weeks. I told her I would report the adverse event and contact both the manufacturer and her primary care doctor to see clinically if she should get the second dose or to not complete the series.
