The injection itself was very smooth and almost painless. The next day, however, I experienced extreme pain in left shoulder, inability to move upper arm without significant pain. This pain got increasingly worse over the next few days and for the most part, has not improved since. Ibuprofen seems to make little difference. I saw my PCP 10 days after the injection and I am scheduled to see an orthopedic doctor tomorrow to see what treatment path is advised. The injection site itself was the normal kind of pain- in other words, just a minor bit of soreness. The shoulder pain is a very different sort of pain. It sometimes feels like there is broken glass in my shoulder joing.
