Cannot walk very good; swelling is up to the knees; Legs heavy with fluid; This is a spontaneous report received from contactable reporter(s) (Consumer or other non HCP). The reporter is the patient. A 66-year-old female patient received BNT162b2, BNT162b2 omi ba.4-5 (BNT162B2, BNT162B2 OMI BA.4-5), on 04Oct2022 as dose 4 (booster), 0.3 ml single (Lot number: GJ5342) at the age of 66 years, in left arm for covid-19 immunisation; influenza vaccine inact split 4v (FLUZONE HIGH DOSE QUADRIVALENT), on 04Oct2022 as dose number unknown, 0.7 ml, single (Lot number: UT7733AA) for immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "Restless legs" (unspecified if ongoing); "Osteoporosis" (unspecified if ongoing). Concomitant medication(s) included: MIRAPEX oral taken for restless legs syndrome (ongoing); VITAMIN D NOS taken for osteoporosis (ongoing). Vaccination history included: BNT162b2 (DOSE 3 (BOOSTER), SINGLE, 3rd dose, the First Covid booster, Pfizer , Name: Clarified to be, Pfizer Covid-19, Vaccine-Purple, Date: 03Jan2022 , Lot: 330368D, Anatomical Location: Left arm, Dose/Route: 0.3ml), administration date: 03Jan2022, when the patient was 66-year-old, for COVID-19 immunization; Covid-19 vaccine (DOSE 1, SINGLE), for COVID-19 immunization; Covid-19 vaccine (DOSE 2, SINGLE), for COVID-19 immunization. The following information was reported: OEDEMA PERIPHERAL (non-serious) with onset 06Oct2022, outcome "not recovered", described as "Legs heavy with fluid"; GAIT DISTURBANCE (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "Cannot walk very good"; PERIPHERAL SWELLING (non-serious), outcome "unknown", described as "swelling is up to the knees". The events "cannot walk very good" and "swelling is up to the knees" required emergency room visit. The event "legs heavy with fluid" required physician office visit and emergency room visit. Relevant laboratory tests and procedures are available in the appropriate section. Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of oedema peripheral, gait disturbance, peripheral swelling. Clinical course: She had a full physical on 22Aug2022, had blood panel and was in perfect health. However, on 10Oct2022, she ended up back at her doctor's office because her legs filled heavy with fluid and she could hardly walk Clarified her legs felt heavy with fluid a couple of days after getting the vaccine, probably, 06 Oct 2022. Time: Noticed when she got up and it was just there. This was up to her knees and the swelling was up to the knees Treatment/Intervention: They were scanning for clots, blood clots. She was sent to an foot and ankle specialist, had X-Rays, MRIs. Had numerous blood work. Everything was perfect. She also had a heart echogram, saw a vascular vein doctor, and doctor could not see anything wrong anywhere. Went to the hospital/Emergency Room, spent the whole day there. Confirmed was not admitted to hospital. There they did Lasix and blood test. Was not admitted because they got her in with a heart doctor. She was currently on as initially provided Lasix, later clarified as Furosemide. Furosemide: 20mg tablet two, once a day Potassium: 10meq one tablet with food every day. Takes because on Lasix and needs the Potassium. Communication: Reporter initially provided she was on Lasix, but later clarified when reading the bottle it was Furosemide. However, referred to as Lasix during interaction. When going to get these bottles commented she cannot walk very good. Product Details: This was the patient's 4th shot. Later clarified to be, Pfizer-19 Bivalent, 12YRPlus. Time Administered: In the evening around 7. Previous Doses: First and Second Dose of the Covid Vaccine were given at the heath department. The date administered and lot are on the vaccination card. She got them 2 weeks apart. She does not have vaccination card with her to provide product details. Prior Vaccinations (within 4 weeks): None.
